Thanks-giving

The Thanks-giving is coming up,this week i taught students some related words and sentences in Chinese.and then we combain those sentences to a short poem.

those sentences are :1.”Thanks-giving is coming”;2.”I eat turkey”;3.”I eat pumkin cake”;3.”I thank you Dad”;4.”I thank you Mom”;5″I thank you grandpa”;6.”I thank you grandma”.wechatimg6

we designd two different ways to practice this poem.For 1st-3rd graders,we use TPR teaching method(Total physical reaction).add action on each sentence, which can help student to remember the Chinese words. For 4th-5thgraders, we use “reading while clapping”method.students read the sentences with a rhythmic hands clapping.

and after that, we have prepared some colourful “Heart-shaped Thanks giving card”for each students.  they are required to write that Chinese poem on the card and show it to their parent after they go home.

感恩节

在感恩节将要来临的这一周,我们给学生们上了一堂感恩节主题的文化课,用非常简单的词和句子把以前学过的东西连起来,并加上和感恩节相关的内容,就形成了一首关于感恩节的小诗。全诗的内容如下:感恩节来了;我吃火鸡;我吃南瓜糕;我谢谢爸爸;我谢谢妈妈;我谢谢爷爷;我谢谢奶奶。”

对于一二三年级的学生,我们采取的是“全身反应法”,给每一句话都配上相应的动作来帮助学生记忆,在老师领读的时候学生要一边跟着老师读一边做动作,如“感恩节”这个词语相应的动作是用手比心,“来了”的动作的是将“心”推出去……在学生跟着老师练习到一定程度之后,老师可以叫“志愿者”上前来给大家演示。这里我们也准备了一个小活动:将今天学的所有句子都分别写在小纸条上,每个小纸条上写一句话,教学生抽签,抽到哪个句子的同学要做和句子相应的动作,然后底下的同学们猜他拿到的是哪一句话。

对于四五年级的学生,我们采取的是“节奏拍手法”,在读每一个句子的时候加上有节奏的拍手,这样读起来朗朗上口,也增加了学习的趣味性。在课堂的最后十分钟,我们为四五年级的学生准备了心形的感恩卡,要求他们将今天学的诗歌抄写到卡片上,回家之后送给父母并且用中文对家人说:“谢谢爸爸,谢谢妈妈”。
