First of all, teach students to pronounce Chinese numbers through 0 to 10. and then repeat those numbers with guesture. In Chinese Culture, we have specific guesture to represent the each number.

Use different ways to help students remember the numbers, such as 1:teacher speak English student speak Chinese;2:Teacher speak Chinese and students repeat Chinese first and then speak English, For example, Teacher speak “yi”,students speak”yi””one”.

After that, i have prepared a short video for student, students can repeat the numbers after vedio.

And then, review the numbers with a interest way, i have prepared ten pictures for each number, for number 1 is a Unicorn with one horn;for number 2 is a ribbit with two ears.;for number 3 is a stool with three legs;for number 4 is a frog with 4 legs;for number 5 is a starfish with 5 arms;for number 6 is a lily flower with 6 petals;for number 7 is the big dipper with 7 stars;for number 8 is a crab with 8 legs;for munber 9 is a foxspirit with 9 tails;for number 10 is a lady bug with 10 spots.

The teacher would ask:”how many horns does a Unicorn has?” and students are required to answer it in Chinese; Teacher asks:”how many ears does a rabbit has?” students answer 2 in Chinese, and everyone count it together “yi and er”;teacher asks:”how many legs does a stool has?”students answer “3”and count the numbers through 1 to 3….And so on. for the last picture, teacher would ask:”how many spots does a lady bug has?”student answer 10 and count the number through 1 to 10.

At last, here has a game for student “pat the picture”wechatimg16

Teacher say a Chinese number and student are required to find which picture represent that number and pat it.for example, teacher say “5”,then student should pat “starfish”,teacher say”7″,then student should pat”the big dipper”…And so on

After play this game, every one read the numbers in order together to review what they have learned this class.
